So.... Macron said a lot. First, I am glad he is at least waiting for science, rather than jumping on a “violent videogame ban”, “AI chat with chatbot ban” and also not intending to ban VPNs.

But it's clearly a new form of the internet, behind age gates for social media, real person assurance attempts in the age of AI that apparently the EU commission will assure, rapid disinformation counters especially for elections, algorithm transparency.

I think the problem with parental control was simply that it is opt-in not opt-out to be honest.

As someone that has played video games and watched anime since I was 3 years old. Both of these things have helped me immensely, the entire stance of making killers by conditioning (via videos and games) if violent, seems very much silly to me but also sad that this form of a discussion is brought back, again... I think it is better to develop a clearer ability to distinguish between real life and game/fiction.

Fortnite as an example was quoted, I really don't know what to say here. Not really an image of violent I get from that game.

Too much focus on conditioning, not enough on what maintains or corrupts a stable sense of self irrespective of conditioning: i.e beliefs, values, virtues, purpose...

Trying to explain compartmentalization to activists, but the biggest stumbling block is that most people become activists by accident, so their activism is deeply enmeshed with all of their existing accounts, platforms, and devices.

I do not feel any joy from me and many others being vindicated by the revelations about creepy powerful men and the corruption of elites in the last email dump from the Epstein files.
I am not sure this is going to change anything. I am sure there is so much more, with different people, related to Epstein or not (he didn't invent anything new, and since he died other people took his place), and in different circles, different countries, etc.
And who knows what the US department of Justice will never release.
The whole thing is revolting. Worse, I don't think anyone is going to get any justice.

Wondering whether it's legal to collect wood that tree care services cut down in public places in #Berlin and just left on the sidewalk. There is absolutely no evidence that illegal aliens are voting in general elections.

I wish President Trump and ICE would concentrate on deporting the worst of the worst and reject the myth about elections being stolen by Immigrants.
